Many talented students go to WUJS. It's difficult to describe a typical semester's students but here is a snapshot look at some of the students from one semester: Melissa studied Russian in college and went to learn more in Russia. Her fluency in Russian made her popular with the many Russian immigrants in the Absorption center where WUJS students live. Michael and Shannon (one of the two married couples that semester) both work in computers. Michael is a management information systems specialist. Shannon designs web pages. After WUJS Michael and Shannon remained in Israel while he completed an international MBA program and she got a masters degree in Jewish Civilization. A second student named Michael also worked in website design. He went to WUJS after a touring Europe. After WUJS Michael got a job as art director for a web design company in Tel Aviv. Margaret worked as a journalist for a Jewish newspaper in Australia. Sam, who is from London, is also a journalist. Samson is a medical technology specialist from India. Debra also has a degree in computer science. She volunteered her time to help out at a computer tutoring program in Arad. There is also the WUJS Artists in Residence Program. This includes professional artists who work in paint, photography, poetry and many other mediums.
